Hakim Ziyech has failed his medical ahead of his proposed move to Saudi club Al-Nassr.
Now the whole transfer looks to be in jeopardy, with the Saudis set to pull out of the deal which was reported to be worth up to £17 million, and which would have seen him link up with Cristiano Ronaldo next season.
The Moroccan international had been set to join PSG in January, only for the move to fail because Chelsea failed to complete and send the necessary paperwork over in time.
He then became a peripheral figure at Stamford Bridge for the rest of the season, and he could yet again find himself confined to a minor role.
Now 30, he still has two years left on his current deal in West London, but does not form part of Mauricio Pochettino’s plans for the future.
And now he may find it difficult to secure a move elsewhere unless the reasons that caused him to fail the medical are resolved.
