Bayern Munich are ready to capitalise on Manchester United’s failure to agree a fee with Chelsea for their midfielder Mason Mount.
United have seen three bids for the 24 year old turned down because they do not meet Chelsea’s valuation of the player.
And United have grown increasingly fed up with how news of the negotiations is being leaked to the media, whilst their reluctance to engage in face to face talks is causing some irritation in West London.
And now to complicate the situation further, Bayern may be about to step into the picture, with Thomas Tuchel hoping to be reunited with a player who played his best football under him.
It is not clear whether Mount is ready to leave for a foreign club, although Bayern can offer him Champions League football, and almost guaranteed domestic silverware in the Bundesliga.
And Chelsea may prefer that he join them rather than strengthen one of their main Premier League rivals.
