French goalkeeper Mike Maignan is open to a move to Chelsea this summer, who are ready to take advantage of unrest at his current club AC Milan.
Chelsea have identified goalkeeper as one of the priority positions that needs to be upgraded in the summer window, and French international Maignan may be the man ready to fit the bill, with the Blues ready to offer him a contract worth in excess of £130,000 a week.
Maignan is among a number of players who want to leave the club following the sacking of AC Milan club legend Paolo Maldino from his position as Director of Football.
He was sacked after a tense meeting with club owner Gerry Cardinale to discuss plans for next season, which quickly deteriorated.
Maignan was amongst the players who was particularly close to Maldini, and his sacking has persuaded him that now may be the time to leave.
