Turkish champions Galatasaray want to sign Arsenal full-back Nuno Tavares this summer.
The 23-year old was signed from Benfica two years ago by the Gunners, but had a mixed first season at the Emirates, impressing sometimes with his ability going forward, but proving less than reliable when it came to the defensive side of his game.
He was sent on loan last season to Marseille, where initially he caught the eye with a string of strong performances. But things later soured as disciplinary issues with the Marseille coaching team began to emerge,
Tavares is due back in North London following a holiday, but the Gunners appear to have already made their mind up that he should be sold.
Galatasaray would prefer initially to take the once highly rated player on loan, but, if the Gunners are not open to that idea, are prepared to make any move permanent.
