William Saliba has agreed a new four year deal with Arsenal.
The French international had one year left on his current deal at the Emirates, and there was significant interest in him from clubs at home and abroad.
However, the club has now managed to convince him that the next stage in his career should happen in North London.
Alrhough signed from Ligue 1 as a teenager, Saliba did not make his full debut for the club until the start of the last season. having as spent much of the interim period back on loan in France.
He missed the last eleven games of the season with a back injury, which coincided with the Gunners loss of form during the title run-in.
Now he becomes the latest player after Bukayo Saka, Aaron Ramsdale and Gabriel Martinelli to commit their immediate futures to the club.
