Chelsea’s Kai Havertz has agreed personal terms about a move to Real Madrid.
The Spanish club are in the market for a replacement for Karim Benzema, who is leaving them after 14 seasons to play in Saudi Arabia.
And they have targeted Havertz because they believe that he has a similar profile to the departing Frenchman.
For their part, Chelsea are willing to part with the man that scored the winning goal for them in the 2021 Champions League final, believing that the cash raised from his sale would help fund their summer transfer activity.
A value of 555 million has been placed on his head.
The 23 year old is also keen on the move, after a disappointing season at Stamford Bridge, although playing in a dysfunctional team for most of the time did not help either him, or any of his team mates.
