Arsenal are in talks to sign French defender Sacha Boey from Turkish club Galatasaray.
Erden Timor recently travelled to London for talks over a deal for Boey, and, following those discussions, the Gunners are understood to have tabled a bid of £14.7 million for him.
That has been turned down by Galatasaray who value the player at £21.7 million and insist that they are not prepared to accept less for him, but discussions between the two parties are continuing.
The Gunners are looking for cover for Ben White at right-back, amidst concerns about the inability of Takehiro Tomiyasu to stay fit.
Boey moved to Turkey from Rennes in 2021, and still has two years left on his current deal with the Istanbul club.
However, he has made it known that he is open to leaving Galatasaray at the end of this season.
