Arsenal midfielder Albert Sambi Lakonga is being linked with a move to newly promoted Burnley this summer.
Signed from Belgian side Anderlecht two years ago, Lakonga has struggled for game time at the Emirates, and has spent the second half of this season on loan at Crystal Palace.
However, he has failed to make any significant impact there.
If he does move to Anderlecht, he will be joining a familiar figure in Vincent Kompany – he played briefly under the latter when he was manager of the Belgian side. He is a firm believer in Lakonga’s potential and thinks he could help his team survive in their first season back in the Premier League.
With the Gunners looking to upgrade their midfield in the coming transfer window, there seems no place for Lakonga at the Emirates, and they would be happy to let him go, with the proposed deal initially a lona, but with an option to buy clause included.
