Chelsea are keen to keep Joāo Felix at Stamford Bridge this summer.
The Portuguese international joined the Premier League side on a six month loan deal from Atlético Madrid in January, although the deal included no obligation to buy.
However, the 22 year old is not keen on returning to Madrid, where he enjoyed a frosty relationship with manager Diego Simeone.
Previously Atlético had indicated that they wanted a fee of £88 million to make the arrangement permanent, something that Chelsea are not willing to pay, at least in one lump sum.
However, the London side are prepared to include Marc Cucurella and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as makeweights in any deal that eventually gets done.
Cucurella was only signed from Brighton last summer, and cost the club £62 million, but he has struggled to reproduce his best form in a Chelsea shirt. Aubameyang was signed just before deadline day by Thomas Tuchel, who then was promptly sacked.
