The expected arrival of Mauricio Pochettino as the new Chelsea manager could revive the career at the club of Romelu Lukaku.
The Belgian international is coming to the end of his season long loan back at Inter Milan, but with the Italian club having no obligation to buy, he was set to return to Stamford Bridge and face an uncertain future, with no apparent room for him under the old regime.
However, now the club are set to hold talks with the 29-year old and ask him if he wants to resume his career in West London under the Argentine.
Given the abject lack of goals in their side, it would appear foolish for Chelsea to dispense with Lukaku’s services so readily, without at least seeing if there is the possibility of him finding the form that made them pay Inter a club record fee for him two years ago.
