Chelsea plan clear-out before June deadline

Chelsea are under pressure to clear out a number of players before June 30th.

That is the latest date that deals can be done so that they can be accounted for in this year’s financial books.

The club is under massive pressure to comply with Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations, and needs to try and get as many unwanted players off their books by the end of the financial year.

Other clubs are fully aware of this, and could use that leverage to pick up players on the cheap, knowing that it is a buyer’s market.

Hakim Ziyech, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Romelu Lukaka, Conor Gallagher, Kalidou Koulibaly and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could all be sold, whilst attempts to get Mason Mount to sign a new deal at the club are looking increasingly forlorn.

Although the transfer window does not officially open until mid-June, Chelsea are even now frantically working behind the scenes to find new homes for some of their unwanted stars.
