Chelsea are among the clubs interested in signing Argentine midfielder Alexis Mac Allister in the summer, although they face stiff competition with Liverpool also reported to want to the World Cup winner.
The 24 year old is currently concentrated on Brighton’s push for European football, but may consider his options at the end of the season as he considers moving to a higher profile club.
Signed from Argentinos Juniors back in 2019, Mac Allister has made 101 club appearances for Brighton, scoring 18 goals in the process.
He is currently under contract until 2025, and, with the South Coast side having the option of another year, they are under no pressure to sell him.
And that means that will be in a position to command a substantial premium for his services, as they have done with the likes of Marc Cucurrella and Yves Bissouma in the past.

He loves all sports but football is his abiding passion, and he still has dreams every now and then about scoring the winning goal in a Wembley Cup Final, even though his playing days are long gone. He follows most major leagues, across Europe at least, and has a favoured team in each. When he’s not watching, listening, reading or downloading podcasts about football, he spend his time worrying about his beloved Arsenal.
