Chelsea are considering appointing Jose Mourinho as their manager for a third time.
The West London club have bought themselves sometime as they continue their search for a permanent replacement for the sacked Graham Potter by appointing Frank Lampard as interim manager until the end of the season.
They have drawn up a shortlist of candidates, with includes Julian Nagelsmann, Luis Enriqué, and even Nuno Espirito Santos, but Mourinho is also on the list.
He had two spells with the club, first between 2004 and 2007, and then again between 2013 and 2015, which saw them win three league titles, although given how he left them each time under a cloud, some Chelsea supporters will raise eyebrows the new owners are mulling over giving him a third shot at the job.
However, the ability of the current Roma manager to handle the Spanish and Portuguese speaking players at the club is considered a major plus point in his favour.
