Jose Mourinho wants to sign Ruben Loftus-Cheek to play for Roma next season.
Although the midfielder has made 27 appearances for the club in all competitions this season, he will still be put up for sale in the summer, as part of the clear-out of players that the club are planning.
And now Mourinho is planning a reunion with a player who came through the academy at Chelsea, and was an England international until a serious injury in a post season friendly derailed his career for a period.
He subsequently had loan spells with both Crystal Palace and Fulham.
If he does move to Roma he will find another familiar face at the club in the form of striker Tammy Abraham, who made his own switch to Serie A from Chelsea two years ago.
