Chelsea are reported to have made contact with French under-21 international Manu koné about a possible transfer in the summer.
Koné currently plays for Borussia Monchengladbach and seems destined to leave them sooner rather than later, with PSG also said to be tracking his situation.
Borussia are aware of the interest in him, and, although he is currently valued at £25 million, are confident they will be able to get considerably more for him if and when they decide to sell him.
The player himself has previously made no secret of his desire to play in the Premier League, which could give the London club the edge in any race whicn might develop for his signature.
21 year old Koné came through the youth system at Toulouse before making the switch to Germany two years ago.
