Callum Hudson Odoi is set to return to Chelsea at the end of the season.
The England winger is spending the season on loan in the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen, and they have the option to make the move permanent. However, it seems highly unlikely they will exercise it.
That is because he has had a limited impact during his time with the club, That coring just once and providing one assist. In fact he has only played 124 minutes of first-team football this season and the player whom Bayern Munich once courted so hard and were prepared to pay big money for him seems to have disappeared completely.
He will still have one year left on his contract with Chelsea in the summer, but it is difficult to imagine he has much future with them either.
Instead he will likely be part of the summer clear-out in West London, and the club may need to be happy with what they can get for him.
