Chelsea are considering re-signing striker Tammy Abraham in the summer.
A graduate of the Chelsea academy system, Abraham scored 30 goals in 82 appearances for the senior team, although he had several seasons on loan, most prominently with Aston Villa, who he helped secure promotion from the Championship.
However, he was sold to Roma in 2021 for a fee of £34 million, and he has since gone on to prosper for the Serie A side, scoring 34 goals for them and helping them win the Europa Conference League last season.
Although he signed a five year contract with Roma, there is a clause that enables Chelsea to buy him back for a fee of around £70 million.
At this stage, Chelsea are starting to become desperate because of the lack of goals in the team. They have scored just six times in the last 12 games, and some fans are bewildered as to why, having spent so much money over two transfer windows, they failed to recruit somebody capable of putting the ball into the net with any regularity.
