Ilkay Gündoğan is the latest Manchester City star being linked with a move to the Emirates and Arsenal.
The German international existing contract at the Etihad expires at the end of the season, and talks over an extension have stalled.
Gündoğan is looking for a two year deal, something that City are not keen on awarding him.
That means, that the 32 year old, who earns £140,000 a week, will potentially be available for free.
There is interest already from clubs in Germany and Spain, but another move to North London is not out of the question, following the path already trodden by Gabriel Jesus and Oleksander Zinchenko.
Both are credited with having had a transformative effect at the Emirates, both on the pitch, but more importantly off it, having helped instil a winning mentality in Mikel Arteta’s squad.
