Inter Milan want to extend Romelu Lukaku’s loan at the club from Chelsea.
Despite joining the West London club for a record fee of £97.5 million in the summer of 2020, The Belgian international spent just one season at the club before he was loaned back to Inter Milan after struggling at Stamford Bridge.
He is reported to be happy with the Serie A side and does not want to leave them for a second time, but Inter are hoping that they can renegotiate his loan fee downwards, which is reported to be £7 million.
Injuries have restricted his playing time this season and he has only scored one goal in the league for them so far, but Inter have hopes he can rediscover the form that he showed in his first spell with the club, that helped them win the Scudetto title.
A meeting between the two clubs to try and resolve the matter is planned for March.
