Newcastle United want to raid Chelsea for three of their players.
Conor Gallagher, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Hakim Ziyech are all wanted by the North-East club as they look to secure their grasp on Champions League football.
However, due to the club’s injury crisis, Chelsea manager Graham Potter is prepared to sanction just one of them leaving the club in this transfer window.
Ziyech, who is now 29, would appear the most expendable at the moment, having consistently failed to perform since joining the club two years ago.
And he also plays in a position where the club has plenty of cover, whereas Gallagher and Loftus-Cheek are both midfielders where there is a lack of available bodies at Stamford Bridge at the moment.
The Moroccan international Ziyech was Frank Lampard’s first signing as Chelsea manager and was one of the stars of Morocco World Cup, but has never found that same form during his time in West London.
