Chelsea are ready to listen to offers for forward Raheem Sterling.
The 28 year old only moved to Stamford Bridge last summer from Manchester City, signing a five year contract with the option of a further 12 months, but has so far failed to have any significant impact in West London.
He has scored six goals and provided three assists so far this season in all competitions, but has been played in a variety of positions, and has even been deployed as a wing-back under Graham Potter.
Given though the spending spree that the club has embarked on recently with recruits including Mykhailo Mudryk and Joāo Felix, it is recognised that there is the need to slim down an already bloated squad.
One of the potential issues is Sterling’s wages. He currently earns £350,000 a week plus bonuses, and there are few clubs willing to match his salary expectations.
