Chelsea are one of the teams interested in Brighton and Ecuador midfielder Moses Caicedo, along with Premier League rivals Liverpool.
He has two and a half years left on his contract at the Amex Stadium and has previously indicated he wants to help the South Coast club qualify for the Europa League this season, so may not be ready to move in January.
However, if the right offer comes in for him, Brighton have shown in the past they are not averse to taking the money.
Rebuilding an ageing midfield is one of the ley tasks that Graham Potter faces as he looks to make Chelsea a force yet again, and with players like N’Golo Kanté and Jorginho both the wrong side of 30, and coming to the end of their current deals, younger recruits like Caicedo are now being actively sought.
Caicedo was one of the stars of Ecuador’s World Cup campaign in Qatar.
