Cedric Soares proposed move from Arsenal to Fulham has stalled because of his wage demands.
The West London club had agreed a fee for the Portuguese international with their Premier League club, only for terms to prove to be an issue.
Fulham were hoping that the Gunners would agree to cover half his salary, something that the Gunners are unwilling to do at this stage.
Talks are still continuing between the two clubs about the 31-year old.
Although Soares is surplus to requirements at the Emirates, with Arsenal well covered in the full-back spot, Mikel Arteta’s squad is not deep enough for them to allow somebody with Premier League experience to leave on a bargain.
Therefore, the onus is now up to Fulham to decide if they want to make an improved offer, who joined the Gunners two years ago from Southampton on a free transfer.
