The 31 year old French international is out of contract at Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, which means that he will soon be in a position where he can sign a pre-contract agreement with the Spanish club.

Part of the Leicester City team that shocked the world when they won the Premier League, h e joined Chelsea in 2016 for a fee of £32 million, and, since then, he has helped the club win the Premier League, FA Cup, Champions League, UEFA Cup, and Club World Cup.
However, in recent seasons he has become increasingly prone, and it is by no means certain that he will be offered a new deal, especially given the club’s previous policy of only offering short-term contracts to players over 30.
