It has been reported that Gabriel Martinelli has renewed his contract with Arsenal.
If so, it will be a huge boost to Mikel Arteta ahead of the return of the Premier League season.
The 22 year old was a late addition to the Brazilian squad and made several impressive cameo experiences off the bench in Qatar, although he was not involved in their quarter-final defeat to Croatia.
He was already under contract until 2024, but he has now decided to extend his stay until 2027.
Martinelli has previously said that he would stay with the Gunners for the rest of his career if he had a choice.
Now it will be hoped that he will be the first of three renewals at the Emirates, with Bukayo Saka and William Saliba also in talks about extending their deals with the club.
