Christian Pulisic is not prepared to sign a new contract with Chelsea.
The West London club plan to hold talks with the 24 year old about his extending his stay beyond the expiration of his current contract in 18 months’ time.
However, at the moment, there is no inclination on ins part to do so, and he will be aware that his stock is riding high after an impressive World Cup with the USA team.
Having been a peripheral figure with the Premier League side under successive managers, it would take a lot at this stage for him to change his mind.
And that could force the club to make a decision sooner rather than later. Whilst there had been talk of allowing him to leave on loan in January, there may also be a temptation to sell him outright and maximise their return.
