Real Madrid are considering making a move for Chelsea right back Cesar Azpilicueta in the transfer window.
The 33-year old was heavily linked with a move to Barcelona on a free transfer in the summer, before eventually signing a new contract at Stamford Bridge.
However, now Real could need reinforcements in the right-back area should Adrian Odriozola leaver the club. He has been linked with a move to Italy and Serie A, with AC Milan reported to be interested in acquiring his services.
Apart from his playing ability, Azpilicueta has been targeted for his potential to act as a role model for some of the players in the Real squad, an example of how a professional footballer should conduct themselves.
The Chelsea player is currently in Qatar with the World Cup squad, and has and has made two appearances in the tournament so far, featuring in the thrashing of Costa Rica, and the surprise defeat to Japan.
