Arsenal are considering raiding the Milan clubs for two players.
One is Hakan Çalhanoğlu, who can operate both as an attacking midfielder or off either flank, potentially providing cover for both Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.
The 28 year old, who has 18 months left on his current deal at the San Siro with Inter is potentially available because the Serie A club wants to free up funds to offer Milan Škriniar and Denzel Dumfries.
There is suggestions that he could be allowed to leave for a fee of around £26 million, with Aston Villa also reported to be interested.
And they have also been linked with a move for former player Ismaël Bennacer, who plays for Inter’s rivals AC Milan. He was on the books of the North London club between 2015 and 2017, although he never played a senior game for them,
Since departing the Emirates though, he has established a growing reputation in Italy, first with Empoli and more latterly with Milan.
However, with his current deal coming to an end, an indication that his wage demands may make a contract renewal too expensive, Milan are now prepared to sell him to avoid losing him on a free transfer. Tags: Arsenal, AFC, Inter Milan, AC
