Arsenal are once again being linked with a move for Brazilian midfielder Danilo.
The defensive midfielder has been tracked by several European clubs for some time now, but the Gunners may be ready to translate that into a concrete move in January.
Mikel Arteta has been given the greenlight to strengthen his squad when the January window opens again and midfield has been identified as a key area that needs strengthening, especially given the injury record of Thomas Partey since he has been at the Emirates.
Danilo, who is 21 years old, currently plays for Palmeiras, and, despite his relative youth, has already played for them more than 140 times.
He is part of the Brazil squad at the Qatar World Cup that also includes two representatives from Arsenal in the shape of Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli, although he has yet to win a senior cap.
