Chelsea could be set to revive their interest in signing Cristiano Ronaldo.
They were reported to be in the hunt to sign him in the summer, but the move was blocked by their manager at the time, Thomas Tuchel.
But with Ronaldo very unlikely to play for Manchester United again after the incendiary interview he has given to the British journalist Piers Morgan, that has sent shock waves throughout the football world, it looks like he will be available after the World Cup.
It has been separately reported that Ronaldo and his agent have also held talks with Bayern Munich.
There is no doubt that Chelsea could do with the goals that the Portuguese striker provides, but whether they want to deal with the baggage that goes with him is another matter.
