PSG hot up interest in Kanté

PSG are eyeing a move for N’Golo Kanté with the French midfielder set to become a free agent at the end of the season.

The 31 year old, who has been forced to miss the World Cup due to a hamstring injury, has yet to agree a new deal with Chelsea, who normally only give short-term contracts to players over the age of 30.

Arsenal are also being linked with him, although his age profile does not match Mikel Arteta’s young squad, and they have a poor history of signing ageing Chelsea players – William, David Luiz and  Petr Cech are three recent examples.

Although Kanté has been one of the finest players in his position in the Premier League  over the past six or seven seasons, he is becoming increasingly injury prone, and a less physical league may now suit him as he heads into the twilight of his career.
