Chelsea are hoping to beat PSG and Real Madrid to the signing of Brazilian teenage sensation Endrick.
It comes as news that the 16 year old and his family have spent some time at Chelsea’s training ground at Cobham, with defender Thiago Silva on hand to serve as master of ceremonies and to sell the merits of the West London club to them.
The teenage Palmeiras striker is regarded as one of the most sought after young players in the world, and, although FIFA rules now explicitly prevent him moving to Europe before he turns, 18, a number of clubs are already jockeying for position to secure his signature, which can be secured in early 2023.
The left-footed Endrick has already become the youngest ever player for Palmeiras, and has found the net three times for them in Brazil’s top flight, having previously scored 165 goals in 169 games at academy level for them.
