Having been linked with a move to Arsenal for most of the summer, Leicester midfielder Youri Tielemans is again being mentioned in connection with a move to North London.
Although it was widely expected Tielemans would depart the King Power Stadium before the start of the season, he stayed put, even though he is in the final year of his contract and able to walk away for free at the end of the current campaign.
Manchester United are reported also to be interested in signing him, but it now appears that The Gunners are ahead of them in the race for his signature.
Arsenal want to strengthen their midfield options, although they have been boosted by the earlier than expected return to fitness of Mohammad Elneny.
It is thought unlikely they will try and accelerate a move for Tielemans in January, though, because the priority is strengthening in wide areas.
