Arsenal are determined to strengthened this squad in January as they look to maintain their momentum for a top four finish and a return to Champions League football.
One of the positions they have identified is somebody to provide competition to Bukayo Saka on the right and one of the names that is now being linked with them is Uruguayan Facundo Torres.
He is currently playing for MLS side Orlando City having signed from Peñarol last January for £8 million.
Torres made a big impression during the regular season for Orlando, scoring 13 goal and providing ten assists in all competitions.
And he even scored against the Gunners in a pre-season friendly in Florida.
He is naturally a left-sided winger, but he can also be deployed on the opposite flank and even as a striker.
Arsenal have not averse to signing MLS players in the recent past, having brought in both Matt Turner and Austin Trusty earlier this year, although Trusty is spending the season on loan in the Championship with Birmingham City.
