Arsenal are once again being linked with Ukrainian winger Mykhaylo Mudryk, with the deputy director of his current club Shakhtar Donetsk confirming their interest.
Both Manchester City and Newcastle United are reported to have him on their wish list.
However, before Gunners fans get too excited about the prospect of the club signing a prospect who has been compared to a young Lionel Messi, the size of his release clause should given them pause for thought.
Shakhtar value the player at £95million, which would be a record fee for the Gunner, far exceeding the £72 million they paid Lille for Pépé (and it would be hard to argue that he was value for money).
It is hard to imagine them spending that much again on a single player, especially if they have to compete with the likes of City and Newcastle with their inflated budgets.
