The future of midfielder Jorginho at Chelsea is uncertain.
The 30 year old Italian is out of contract at Stamford Bridge at the end of the season and there has been no tangible progress in getting him to agree to a new deal.
Now there is news that Barcelona could be interested in him, although that appears to be dependent on several things. Including whether they can persuade players like Frenkie de Jong to leave the Camp Nou. That would free up a considerable amount in wages.
Jorginho is keen to secure his future, as soon as possible, and would be open to remaining in West London if the terms were suitably attractive.
For their part The Premier League club are keen to avoid a repeat of last season’s scenario which saw a number of key players allowed to run down their contracts and then leave for free, including Andreas Christensen, who went onto join the Spanish giants.
