Napoli’s Victor Osenhem is the latest striker linked with a move to Chelsea.
The Chelsea have made signing a new forward a priority next summer, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang regarded as a stop-gap solution.
Multiple options are being considered, but Osenhem is emerging as one of the favourites, although he is currently out injured for the Serie A club. Prior to that, the Nigeria international had managed four goals in eight games.
He is under contract until 2025 and Chelsea are by no means the only club who could be interested in signing him, with Bayern Munich also known to be tracking his situation.
Osenhem began his career in European football with Wolfsburg, and, after a brief spell in Belgium football was signed by Lille. Napoli bought him in July 2020 for a club record fee reported to be worth up to £70 million.
He has been capped 22 times for Nigeria, and has found the net for them 15 times.
