Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalheas has signed a new long-term contract extension with the club.
The Brazilian joined the club from Ligue 1 side Lille in 2020, and has gone on to make 83 appearances in all competitions.
His five goals last season made him the top scoring defender in the Premier League.
The 24-year has described signing the new contract as the “best day of my life”.
Already under contract at the Emirates until, 2025, the new deal will extend his stay to 2027.
It continues the club’s policy of trying to sign key players to new long-term deals as Mikel Arteta aims to build a squad that can mount a sustained challenge for top honours.
They are hoping to secure contract extensions for Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and William Saliba, whilst new deals for Granit Xhaka and Aaron Ramsdale could also be in the works.
Gabriel has been in several Brazil squads but has yet to make his full debut for his country.
