The move of RB Leipzig forward Christopher Nkunku to Chelsea next summer is already reported to be an advance stage with news that he has already completed a medical with the West London club.
The French international scored 35 goals and was responsible for a further 15 assists in the Bundesliga last season, and it is believed that Chelsea are ready to triggerhis release clause of £52 million although any deal will be predicated upon him remaining in Germany until the end of the current campaign.
His form has seen him linked with a number of top clubs in Europe, including Real Madrid, but Chelsea are now hoping to ger ahead of their rivals for the 24 year old.
The West London club are in need of a main striker after Romelu Lukaku went on loan back to Inter Milan, and Timo Werner returned to Leipzig. Pierre Emerick Aubameyang did sign on deadline day, but more firepower is needed.
