It has been reported that Arsenal are already looking forward to the January transfer window, and they have made contact with the representatives of Eintracht Frankfurt attacking midfielder Jesper Lindstrom.
Although they have made a fine start to the season and sit top of the Premier League going into the international break, they still remain light in terms of quality numbers in certain areas, midfield being one of them.
They tried to sign Douglas Luiz on transfer deadline day from Aston Villa, but, despite making three offers for a player in the last year of his contract, the West Midland club refused to sell him.
Now their attention has switched to Danish international Lindstrom. Who has scored eight times and provided nine assists in 49 games for the Bundesliga side.
And, whilst he primarily operates through the middle, he can also play on either wing, offering just the sort of versatility that Mikel Arteta prizes.
