Arsenal are hoping to sign Wolves winger Pedro Neto.
It comes after reports that they have been talking with his representatives about a move to the Emirates for more than a month.
Neto moved to the West Midlands club from Lazio three years ago, and has gone on to make 95 appearances for them in all competitions, scoring 11 times, and providing 12 assists.
He was primarily deployed as a left winger, but can play on the other flank, and started the game at Tottenham on Saturday as a right wing back.
Speaking after the win on Saturday at Bournemouth, manager Mikel Arteta spoke of his hopes of adding more firepower to his squad before the transfer window closes, although, having already spent big this summer, the Gunners do have to be mindful of Premier League and UEFA Financial Fair Play regulations.
Neto only signed a new five year deal at Molineux in March, so Wolves are in s strong position to negotiate.
