Arsenal are closing in on a deal for Villareal winger Yeremy Pinto.
The 19 year old Spanish international has a release clause of £68 million, but Villareal may be forced to accept a much lower offer, because they are cash strapped and have not been able to bring in many new players ahead of the new season. They need to offload one big name to raise funds before the window closes.
The Gunners have tableda bid of £44 million for the highly rated teenager, and, although he is alos on the radar of Liverpool, they are emerging as the favourites to acquire him.
Their desire to signa winger was evident earlier in the summer by their pursuitof Raphinha, although the former Leeds player ended up at Barcelona instead.
