Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira has agreed a deal to join Turkish side Galatasaray.
The Uruguayan international is flying to Istanbul now to finalise the move, with the Gunners expected to receive around £5 million for him.
The 26-year old had spent last summer on loan in Italy with Fiorentina, and the Serie A side had an option to buy clause in place only to back out at the last minute in an attempt to renegotiate the price, an action that led to ill-feeling on the part of the player and the Gunners.
Since then, he has been linked with various clubs in Italy and Spain, but it now looks like the Super Lig will the final destination for a player who promised much when he first arrived at the Emirates but failed to really settle, due to a combination of factors.
They included homesickness, injury and being played out of position by Unai Emery.
