Everton boss Frank Lampard is set to sign two players from his former club Chelsea.
Ross Barkley looks set to return to Merseyside where he began his career, and he could be joined by striker Michy Batshuayi.
With Richarlison having been sold to Tottenham earlier this summer, Lampard is hoping that Batshuayi can help replace his goals.
The Belgian has become something of a forgotten man at Stamford Bridge, having spent the previous for years on loan at various clubs, including Borussia Dortmund, Valencia, Crystal Palace and Beşiktas, but remains under contract in West London until 2023.
He still has ambitions of being included in Belgium’s World Cup squad, but knows that his chances will be boosted if he is playing regular first-team football.
Barkley also will be looking to revive a career that ahs stalled in recent years, and neither would appear to have any long-term future under Thomas Tuchel.
