Oleksandr Zinchenko will become Arsenal’s fifth summer signing.
The Ukrainian international will move to the Emirates after Arsenal agreed to pay Manchester City £30 million for the 25 year old, with a further £2 million of performance related add-ons.
Having also agreed personal terms he is set to sign a four year deal.
He is currently in the United States on pre-season tour, and as the Gunners are also there in their tour, he could hook up with his new team-mates after having his medical.
He is the second City player to make the switch to North London after Gabriel Jesus, the other acquisitions being Matt Turner, Marquinhos, and Fabio Vieira.
The player ahs been a target ever since Lissandro Martínez became too expensive once Manchester United entered a bidding war for him. Prized for his versatility, Zinchenko mainly played as a left-back under pep Guardiola, but his preferred position is in midfield, which is where he plays for his country.
