Chelsea and Manchester City are close to agreeing a deal for the transfer of Raheem Sterling.
There is now growing confidence on all sides that the transfer could finally be agreed next week.
Reports suggest that the England international will agree a four-year deal at Stamford Bridge, and that the fee will be around £45 million.
Sterling, who has scored 131 goals in 337 appearances at the Etihad, has one year left on his current contract with the Premier League champions.
However, the 27 year old is now ready to leave the club, concerned out his first-team prospects following the signing of Erling Haaland,
He may not be the only City player heading to Stamford Bridge either. Chelsea are looking into re-signing central defender Nathan Aké, and are also looking into the possibility of a move for utility left-side player Oleksandr Zinchenko.
Whether Pep Guardiola would allow all three to leave to potentially strengthen a rival is not clear, though.
