West Ham are ready to bid £30 million for Chelsea striker Armando Broja who spent last season on loan at Southampton.
The South Coast would also like to sign him permanently, but may not have the financial wherewithal to match any bid from the Hammers.
Broja, yet another product of the Chelsea academy system,. Scored nine goals in 38 appearances in all competitions last season and impressed not only with his striking qualities, but also with his hold-up play.
There had been suggestions that Broja could be given his chance in pre-season training by Thomas Tuchel, but with the club looking to sign other forwards, it seems that the 20-year old Albanian international’s future is likely to lie away from Stamford Bridge.
West Ham have already made their first summer signing, capturing defender Nayer Aguerd from French side Rennes for a fee of £30 million.
