Chelsea are reported to be very close to signing teenage goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina.
The West London club came close to securing his signature back in February, but discussions were then put on the backburner because of the government sanction and subsequent transfer.
In the meantime Real Madrid attempted to hijack the deal and Wolves were among the other clubs interested in the 18-year old.
However, Slonina, who is contracted to MLS club Chicago Fire, has opted for the move to Stamford Bridge, and a fee of around £9 million will be paid for him.
Chelsea fans, though, are not likely to see him pull on a club shirt any time soon.
He is to be loaned back to the Chicago side so that he can continue his development there.
Slonina is the youngest goalkeeper ever to appear in the MLS and ahs already earned his first call-up to the Polish national team.
