Greatest quotes on Thibaut Courtois

Regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the modern era, Courtois has performed admirably for the likes of Real Madrid, Chelsea, and the Belgium national team. Standing at an imposing 6 foot 7, we take a look at some of the contemporary greatest quotes on Thibaut Courtois.

Courtois was named the man of the match in the recent Champions League final where he made a total of nine vital saves as his club Real Madrid beat Liverpool by a solitary goal.

Working his way through the KRC Genk side in Belgium, he was noted for the minor amount of goals he conceded and the clean sheets he kept in his time there.

Despite joining Chelsea in 2011, Courtois was loaned off to Spanish side Atletico Madrid, where he impressed again with his clean sheets record and the least amount of goals conceded in a season. He even went on to break the club record by not conceding a goal for over 13-and-a-half hours!

A return to Chelsea followed after three seasons with Madrid, and a fine haul of one La Liga, one domestic Cup, one Super Cup, and one Europa League title.

His exploits at Chelsea saw two Premier Leagues and one FA Cup victory, as well as a Premier League Golden Glove honour, during which time he also performed heroically for Belgium in the 2018 World Cup, where his 27 saves helped the team to reach the semi-final, and earned him the Golden Glove, together with ensuing goalkeeper of the year awards.

He is currently still with Spanish team Real Madrid.
