Feyenoord are in discussions with Arsenal about another loan spell at the Eredivisie club for winger Reiss Nelson.
The 22-year old spent last season on loan in Rotterdam where he initially struggled, before adapting to life at his new club, and was an integral part of the side that reached the final of the Europa Conference League.
A key determinant may be the fact that his current contract at the Emirates ends next June, so sending him out on another loan only makes sense from the Gunners’ viewpoint if he agrees to an extension first.
Otherwise, the better option would be to sell him whilst he still has value to the North London club.
It is reported that the player will soon sit down with Mikel Arteta to discuss his Arsenal future.
The Dutch side have close connections with Arsenal through Albert Stuivenberg, Arteta’s assistant manager. He played for the Dutch side as a youth, and later had a coaching role with them.
